Difference in age of attainment of cervical vertebrae maturation pubertal stage on different vertical facial pattern in indonesian female
Keywords:
cervical vertebrae maturation, vertical facial patternAbstract
Background: Predicting the time of craniofacial growth could be challenging in subjects with different facial patterns. The cervical vertebrae maturation method can be used to determine an individual growth stage. The different time of attainment of a maturation stage is related to intrinsic characteristics of vertical facial growth with different dimensional
patterns. Objective: To assess the difference in age of attainment of cervical vertebrae maturation pubertal on different vertical facial patterns in Indonesian females. Method: Retrospective cross sectional study is done on patients in RSKGM FKG UI Orthodontic Clinic. Cephalometric lateral radiograph is traced to determine vertical facial pattern based on SN-GoGn angle and cervical vertebrae maturation stage with the analysis of Baccetti et al. (2005). Result: Statistical analysis showed a significant difference between the age of attainment of pubertal stage in female subjects with hypodivergent with hyperdivergent and normal vertical facial pattern.
